Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what data RiskShield (the "App") processes when you use it. Short version: almost nothing — and that's a deliberate choice, not marketing language.
RiskShield runs entirely on your own device. There's no account, no server that receives your data, and no third party watching what you enter — except where explicitly stated below (purchases via Apple, and sharing you initiate yourself).
1. Who is responsible for your data
RiskShield is developed and operated by a sole proprietor / private individual based in the Netherlands. For any questions about this privacy policy or your data, see the contact details at the bottom of this page.
2. What data the App collects
The App requires no account, email address, name, or any form of registration. Everything you enter — your starting capital, risk percentage, entry prices, stop-loss, trade journal, notes — is stored exclusively in your own device's local memory. This data:
- is never sent to a server, because the App has no server;
- is never visible to RiskShield's developer;
- is never shared with, or sold to, third parties;
- is never used for advertising — RiskShield shows no ads.
3. Analytics and tracking
RiskShield contains no analytics software, no tracking pixels, and no third-party crash-reporting services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or similar tools). Your usage of the App is not tracked.
4. The share feature
The App includes buttons to share a Risk Report, a chart, or your trade journal. When you use this, the App opens your operating system's native share menu (e.g. Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or an app of your choice). RiskShield itself sends nothing — you choose where the content goes, and from that point on the privacy policy of whichever app you choose applies, not RiskShield's.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid features within RiskShield (the PRO subscription) are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment details (such as your card number) never reach RiskShield — this is handled entirely by Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy. A specialized third-party subscription-management service may be used to verify subscription status (whether you're entitled to PRO features); it processes only technical purchase data, never the content of your trades or personal notes.
6. Apple App Store
As an App Store app, RiskShield is subject to Apple's own platform provisions, such as any crash logs or anonymized performance data Apple itself collects to run the App Store. This is outside RiskShield's control and is described in Apple's privacy policy.
7. Children
RiskShield is not directed at children and is intended as an educational tool for adults engaging with financial risk. No personal information is knowingly collected from anyone, including minors.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you normally have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. Because RiskShield does not collect or store personal data anywhere beyond your own device, there is simply nothing for us to access, correct, or delete — you already have full control yourself, directly in the App (for example, by deleting a trade from your journal, or deleting the App from your device).
9. Changes to this policy
If features are added in the future that do process data beyond your device, this privacy policy will be updated and the date above revised before that feature goes live.
